About Us

Rock Valley Tractor Parts began as Van Noort Salvage in a small building in 1938 in Rock Valley, Iowa. Over the years many buildings and properties were added as the company grew. In 1994, the company expanded to include a new 8,000 sq. ft. building for offices, display and storage. With this addition, the sales, tear-down and warehouses filled a total of five buildings. Today, Rock Valley Tractor Parts is owned by Scott and Vicki Schelling and has grown to be one of the largest tractor recyclers in the Midwest.

Scott began working for Van Noort Salvage in 1994, as the parts inventory specialist. As the company grew and went through ownership and name changes, Scott continued to work for the company in different positions. In 1997, the name of the company was officially changed to Rock Valley Tractor Parts. A few years later, in 2003, Scott and Vicki became part owners and by 2010 they became the sole owners of the company.

In 2018, the Schellings purchased Iowa Cutter Supply, a young company that began in 2010 and deals exclusively with good used and new aftermarket parts for forage harvesters. This addition to the RVTP family was a perfect fit. ICS has an extensive inventory of salvaged and remanufactured forage harvester parts including John Deere, Claas and New Holland and offers aftermarket replacement parts, as well. As of January 1, 2020, both companies are located at the same location and share sales offices, tear-down space and staff.

For most of the 80 years in business, RVTP’s emphasis was on used and rebuilt parts. Over the years, as the customers’ needs changed, the inventory was expanded to include new replacement parts at affordable prices. Because RVTP is proud of the reputation they have built over the years, they have made it a point to only work with reputable vendors to offer the best quality parts at the lowest prices.

Through the years, the Mission Statement of Rock Valley Tractor Parts has remained unchanged. It is our mission to bring honor to Jesus Christ our Lord through service to our customer. We recognize our accountability to God for our integrity and strive to keep His will the mainstay of all our business transactions. With this in mind, serving our customer as we would like to be served – “in the good-old-small-town way” – is our goal.
